Teko Telecom supplies equipment for radio coverage of the "High Speed" trains tunnels. Teko Telecom has won a tender to supply equipment for radio coverage of the Italian tunnels dedicated to "High Speed" trains confirming the skills that allow it to answer with success the complex requirements of the Italian railway and the principal mobile phone operators. From 2001 to today, Teko Telecom has planned and installed over 800 devices for the GSM-R/GSM 900 coverage of Italian railway tunnels, also achieving good results thanks to the remote monitoring system realized by the 20 regional supervision centres and the 2 national centres. The "on the move" connectivity is guaranteed by a repeater situated inside an air conditioned shelter, equipped with a power supply and positioned in proximity to the entrance of the tunnels. The equipment is exclusively completed by RF repeaters or fibre optic repeaters, whose number can change depending on the length of the tunnels. The maintenance staff is able to monitor the operational state of the equipment through the management system of the supervision regional centres. The national centres gather all the information and store it in order to be used centrally. All the servers and the clients for the control of the equipment use the exclusive software "Teko Ferrovie": a user-friendly product specially developed by Teko Telecom for this application.
