BTS/Node B Interfaces

Our modular RF interfaces can be Point of Interface modules (POI and TAPOI), connected to the signal source via coaxial cable, and/or Donor Front End modules (TDFE), driven off-air by radio base stations.
Our passive components, providing RF distribution and filtering, allow the Master Unit to be equipped with multiple RF interface modules, operating in the same band or in different bands over the 380 to 2700MHz frequency range, making a wide range of Coverage System configuration options available.

Point of Interface and Active Point of Interface (POI and TAPOI) modules
Teko Telecom Point of Interface and Active Point of Interface modules are flexible single-band/single-operator RF interfaces connected to the signal source (BTS, NodeB/eNodeB or Off-Air Repeater) via coaxial cable.
They can be equipped with either rotary (POI models) or remote-controlled attenuators (TAPOI models) for Downlink and Uplink RF levels adjustment.

POI modules, equipped with manually adjustable attenuators, do not require power nor management, so they can be equipped in 19”-3U passive subracks thus allowing a reduction in the cost of the whole system.

TAPOI modules are equipped with remote-controlled attenuators for RF levels adjustment via the Coverage System Supervision Module and Management Tools.

Donor Front End (TDFE) modules
Teko Telecom Digital Donor Front End Module (TDFE) provides the single-band/single-operator RF interface towards the signal source: it is connected to a Donor Antenna picking-up the signal from distant macro cell towers.

Modular Off-air Repeaters can be set-up by proper combination of Digital Donor Front Ends and Service Front Ends (our RF interfaces towards Service Antennas).
Digital Donor Front End Modules can also be used to drive Optical Systems: a Donor Antenna picks-up the signal and the Optical System acts as a repeater with distributed Service antennas connected to the Remote Units.
