Teko Telecom Off-air Macro repeaters are designed to optimize cell coverage in the shadow areas, like tunnels, rural/mountain areas, etc.
They allow both interface with donor BTS (or Node B) and coverage of shadow areas using two separate antennas.
Teko Telecom Off air repeaters can be managed locally through a RS232 port or remotely via a built-in wireless modem.
IP65 protection degree provided by the enclosure makes Teko Telecom Off-Air Macro Repeaters suitable both for indoor and outdoor applications.
These devices are
- for GSM-R band, Band Selective with adjustable bandwidth up to 4 MHz;
- for EGSM and DCS bands, Band Selective with adjustable bandwidth up to 16,5 MHz (the EGSM equipment is available with 1 or 2 Band Modules);
- for UMTS band, Channel Selective with 1 or 2 channels.
In case the area to be covered is too large with only a Macro Repeater, different solutions to enlarge the coverage are available, with the possibility to interconnect the Repeater with:
a) Optical Systems, based on Master Unit connected via fiber optic cables with some Remote Units;
b) Cascade Systems, based on Bidirectional Amplifiers connected to the Repeater through a radiating cable.
