In many countries 70-80% of the mobile traffic is indoor. A matter of fact is that providing highly performance wireless coverage to the people inside buildings, especially with high data rates, is a challenge.

The perfect solution for this scenario is an optical system fed by dedicated BTS / Node-B / eNB. The optical Remote Units dislocated throughout the interested building allow small passive DAS and keep short the distance between signal source and user terminal, which – exploiting power control – can transmit with lower power, thus limiting the overall interference and the battery usage.
