CTE Digital Broadcast:
The first Italian industrial consortium dedicated to broadcasting

Reggio Emilia, 13th  March 2008 - CTE International srl, Meta System spa, TEKO Telecom spa and CTE DB srl, announced today the agreement for the integration of their respective broadcast divisions into CTE Digital Broadcast with nominal capital of 5.1 million Euro whose aim is to build the first Italian industrial pool for the development, production and distribution of analogic and digital transmission systems for radio and TV networks as well as for mobile television.

With premises in Milan, Reggio Emilia and Bologna, CTE Digital Broadcast combines into one company the consolidated experience and competence in the broadcast transmitter field of all the historical brands involved in the operation as well as having a considerable capacity for constant innovation by means of its consistent investments in research and development.

The aim of the new pool dedicated to broadcasting is to get the most out of the synergies coming from the group integration and the single company assets in order to reach a greater degree of competition on the world market and so conquer a  key role in the transition to the new system of digital radio and television transmissions and in the emerging mobile TV market.

The production process will be carried out by Meta System spa which is able to guarantee, in addition to the strong technological know how, the control and management of the quality system throughout the entire process.  Furthermore CTE Digital Broadcast (controlled by MetaSystem Group) will be able to count on the solid financial and productive capacity of the MetaSystem Group. With its headquarters in Reggio Emilia and branches in U.K., France, Spain and Germany, the Meta System Group had a sales turnover in 2007 equal to 213.8 million Euro, of which more than 70% was exported.

The Group, with a work force of over 1170 employees, is a  world leader in the production of electronics applied to security systems (burglar systems, car and motorbike alarms, OEM electronic devices, UPS), to telematics, radio frequency and services.
